Only small differences since last post, trying to get a little more depth. Although acrylic dries fast, it still takes awhile to finish a painting...

They look quite festive! I think I am getting a bit better with the colour.

And this one was done a couple of weeks ago, when I was still in the first stages of experimentation:



I have been trying out some different acrylic mediums - flow release, acrylic extender, etc. - but so far the plain old standard gloss medium seems to do everything just fine. Perhaps the other things have subtly different properties that aren't yet apparent to me... well I am just starting out here so there's room to learn!

One thing I have happily discovered is the acrylic varnishes, they really finish a painting up nicely.
