A few days ago I posted this "before & after" picture:

And here it is, different again:

acrylic on canvas
16.5 x 16.5"
A bit busy, I would say!
It could be said that this is how I see the world - crammed full of stuff, everything moving and hard to differentiate.
Anyway I will leave it, move on to the next painting. Hopefully there will be improvements with each attempt.

Got some matboard from the framing shop next door, they always have a big box of leftover pieces & were happy to give them to me. How lucky is that!
Some of these are on canvas and some are on the matboard:

Acrylic on paper works very well! It's a bit absorbent, so I can get watercolour-ish effects.
I might also glue some matboard to cradled wood panel... hmmm... could create a nice raised edge if the panel is slightly bigger than the piece of matboard. Ideas, ideas.
Next, I have to start using some other colours! Everything right now is shades of red, ha.
