Oh lovelies. Of course I like them all but I think they have such a beautiful flare to them when they are in the 1st stage...like Memory of Flowers series #2 as much as I cant stand white canvas I think that looks absolutely lovely just as it was. The yellow background is nice as well but something about the white...same for the new start with the red flower.
Thanks for your comments, Cina. Yeah, you have a point... thing is, these are (cheaply) pre-made canvases and the white gesso doesn't look so hot up close. A bit scruffy or something. Maybe I will try painting in a background colour first, then doing the calligraphic thing on top, thus avoiding the scruffy white.
